I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life but, I only regret one. I wish we explored our feelings for one another. I regret letting you leave my embarrass without exploring the powerful edge I know we both felt to kiss one another that night, what seems like a long time ago. Under the stars in the parking lot, you just let me leave. I pulled away and you pulled me in tighter. At that moment, everything felt right in your arms. You didn’t want to let me go and I felt that to my core. I didn’t want to leave either. I should have looked up. I was hoping you’d grab my face and kiss me. Why didn’t you kiss me? Why did you let me go? Now it’s too late and I’m left with all these unanswered questions while you moved on with ease. I’m happy you found true love but, I wish we found it together.
I’ll always love you but, I’ll have to do so from afar.
